Professional Engineer, Certfied Passive House Designer, Owner, Gaspereau Building Science

Phil recently completed a passive house project in the Gaspereau Valley, Nova Scotia. He acted as the designer, general contractor, builder, and engineer.  He now calls it home & lives there alongside his wife and two children. Phil is in the early stages of establishing a building science engineering consulting business.  He is committed to cost-effective, quality design solutions for high-performance buildings.  Passive house & net-zero fundamentals are at the forefront of his business model. Phil has ten (10) years experience working in the aerospace industry, as a designer, manufacturing engineer, and manager.  Phil has led projects for Boeing, Airbus, and Bombardier, as well as various projects for the International Space Station, which have included the Canadarm2. Phil holds a certificate of applied science from Acadia University, a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University, and is an active member with Engineers Nova Scotia. In his spare time, Phil enjoys composing, recording and playing music, the outdoors, a hot cup of tea, and a good game of chess.
